Lost & Found Eatery and Bar | Houston

Lost & Found Eatery and Bar | Houston

I was so happy to be walking up to a place in Midtown that I could truly call my own. Houston’s newest build-out was not only dope, but delicious! Lost & Found is the perfect place to take your next Instagram photo. Its dark purple accents and pops of color are quite inviting. Making you wish you could lounge there all day!

Side rant: I was invited to attend this soft opening of Lost & Found as media. One thing I will tell about media tasting’s is that you leave feeling spoiled. I often find I have a false sense of inflated ego when it comes to food quality. Believing that I know the ‘best of the best’ when it comes to Houston’s bar food. I thought I knew elevated bar food until I tried every items on her soft opening menu. Lost & Found’s Executive Chef T, forced me to eat a huge piece of humble pie, and sit my ass right on down!!  Baby! Let me tell you, I was lost but now I’m found!

Lost & Found Houston is brought to you by the same owners of Prospect Park. Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect, but as a fan of Prospect Park, I knew I was in for a treat.  Prospect Park is Houston’s go-to sports bar and they have one of the best lunch menus in town. Lost & Found Houston is the perfect fusion of sports bar meets lounge.

We started our tasting on the outdoor patio. It’s Possibly one of the best patios in Midtown. The natural wooden booths and TVs are the perfect place to watch game and grab a drink. Speaking of drinks they are DIVINE!! We tried all of their signature cocktails and not a single was anything less than amazing. I highly recommend you start with their Champagne Showers or The “Zebra”. Fun, beautiful and delicious cocktails.

Here are some of my favorites from Lost & Found’s menu:
The Lost & Found Wings (my favorite) come in two flavors – Their LOST (sweet Hennessy) based sauce and their FOUND (spicy Piri piri) sauce are both stellar.
Fried Cauliflower
Crawfish bread
Shrimp & Crawfish Dip

Recent Update to Post:
There was a recent situation that occurred at Lost & Found that I spoke about on my Instagram. I was disappointed and hurt by what transpired, (no need to harp go read up on it if you feel so led) especially because it happened to friends of mine. So how will I proceed you ask? I will proceeded with a spirit of forgiveness. Everyone needs to be given a second chance. Myself included. We have all done things in bad taste that we needed to learn and grow from. I’ve personally been extended grace when I didn’t deserve it. I have been to MANY black owned places and extended grace to them so why wouldn’t I allow that same space for my own?

Have you visited Lost & Found? I would love to hear your feedback below in the comments.

Tha Know

One thing I know is the cocktails are damn delicious here! They are outstanding and can easily stand alone. I’d suggest you visit just for the drinks honestly.  My favorite was the “Storms End” the liquid nitrogen finish leaves you in awe. Nothing like a little molecular gastronomy to get the juices flowing.

In addition to their amazing cocktails they also have a killer happy hour. Though I didn’t indulge in everything on the menu, I did savor quite a few of their $1 Oysters. Those of you who love Starfish will be happy to know that 1751 offers the same deal!

Tha Place

1751 is the former home of Starfish. The new layout and aesthetics are breathtaking and photo worthy!

Tha Feels and Tha Taste

My taste buds were blown away. The food was on another level! I could have eaten my weight in their crispy fried calamari and cucumber dish. It was by far my favorite bite of the night.

Tha Look

My hair was living its best life and thriving for the people!! I have to give full credit to coconut oil and my favorite hair product FUBU Pomade! (yes fubu.. for us, by us)
